Position Summary

MAG is recruiting for a Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) who will support the Marine Forces Special Operations Command (MARFORSOC) command by providing technical and operational expertise for planning, executing, monitoring, and managing the Multi-Tactical Data Link Network (MTN) architecture in support of Special Operations Forces (SOF) operations, training, and coalition partner interoperability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Ensure that tactical data links (TDLs) and joint/coalition information exchange requirements (IERs) are defined, integrated, and maintained in a complex joint environment, and that the common tactical picture (CTP) and higher-level command and control (C2) requirements are met.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise to the G-3 and broader Headquarters (HQ) elements, C2 cells, exercise planning teams, and deployed contingents.
  • Serve as the coordinator for the Joint Interface Control Cell (JICC) and any deployed support teams, sector and regional interface cells; resolve architecture, configuration, network design, and operational issues that cross regional/sector boundaries within the AOR or theater.
Requirements

Minimum Requirements 

 

Required Skills: (skills a candidate MUST have to be considered for a position)

 

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in TDL architecture, multi-TDL network operations, or comparable joint/coalition C2/data-link environments
  • In-depth working knowledge of TDL and multi-TDL architectures (MTA/MTN) physical and cyber configurations, operations and organization (to include but not limited to: Link 16, Link 22, Mode 5 IFF, MADL, TTNT, JREAP, Cross Domain Solutions)
  • Demonstrated experience developing and overseeing TDL requirements, agreements, IERs in a joint and/or coalition operational environment
  • Proven ability to travel domestically and internationally, and to operate in fast-pace, dynamic environments with deployed and forward-based units reaching across services and partner nations.
  • Excellent briefing, writing, and stakeholder-engagement skills; comfortable interfacing with senior leadership, acquisition teams, partner-nations, and cross functional stakeholders
  • Prior exercise or contingency deployment experience within USSOCOM, PACOM, CENTCOM, EUCOM or other joint forward Commands
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical, engineering, or operations discipline or equivalent operational/experience substitution.
  • Must be a US Citizen with an Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility; ability to handle and safeguard classified information at that level
