About the Role

Culmen International is hiring a Subject Matter Expert (SME III) - Population Survey Methodologist to provide technical leadership and methodological expertise supporting large-scale Department of Defense survey programs, including the Health-Related Behaviors Survey and other enterprise-wide research initiatives.

What You'll Do in Your New Role

In this role, you will advise on survey methodology, sampling strategies, questionnaire design, implementation planning, statistical approaches, and interpretation of survey findings. You will support all phases of survey execution, from design through dissemination of results.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctorate (PhD) in Epidemiology, Psychology, or a related field with a concentration in Survey Methodology.


  • Minimum of eight (8) years of post-doctoral experience supporting complex, multi-site survey research programs.


  • Minimum of three (3) years leading large-scale survey projects.


  • Established publication record supporting academic, government, or federally funded research.


  • Expertise in survey design, sampling methodologies, and survey statistics.


  • Experience advising on population-level surveys within government or public health environments.


  • Ability to develop technical reports, manuscripts, presentations, briefings, and related deliverables.
