Participate in floating to nearby facilities as needed
Support and manage patient recovery from common diagnoses like stroke and pneumonia
Work four 10-hour shifts a week, potentially including weekends

Description:
Department provides speech therapy services.
A guarantee of 37 hours per week is offered.
SLPs work with 8 to 10 patients daily.
There are 3 SLPs scheduled per day.
Common diagnoses include stroke, pneumonia, and sepsis.
The setting consists of acute inpatient and acute rehab.
Coverage will be shared equally between acute inpatient and rehab.
Floating to nearby facilities may be required.
Experience in a rehab unit is preferred, but first-time travelers are welcome.
The electronic medical record system used is EPIC.
Management support is available on each shift.
Rehab aides assist in the unit.
Shifts are typically scheduled as four 10-hour days.
Current traveler shifts have included weekends.
Weekend and holiday coverage may be required.
Scrubs are permitted, but must differ in color from other departments.
Orientation usually consists of 2-3 days in the department.
A radius rule is in place to ensure candidate compliance.
Candidates must be willing to provide permanent address information if necessary.
