ResponsibilitiesPeraton requires Network Engineers to support the United States Special Operations Command Special Operations Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM. This position is located at MacDill Air Force Base.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain secure Network Operations (NetOps); sustain systems and network infrastructure; provide end-user and common device support; support configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training; and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMAC) services in support of globally distributed mission operations operating 24x7x365.
The Network Engineer serves as a senior technical leader on a specialized project team responsible for translating enterprise architectural designs into fully realized, highly secure network infrastructure. Working in direct support of enterprise network architects, this lead engineer will guide the hands-on technical execution, deployment, and optimization of globally distributed Department of War (DoW) networks. As a technical SME, this role will champion and execute strategic focus areas critical to Zero Trust architecture, specifically enterprise endpoint compliance (Comply to Connect / C2C initiatives) and advanced application micro-segmentation (leveraging solutions like Cisco Secure Workload / CSW). The SME Lead bridges the gap between high-level architectural vision and practical engineering implementation.
- Collaborate with and support enterprise network architects by translating high-level architectural concepts into actionable engineering tasks, deployment plans, and configuration baselines.
- Drive the implementation and integration of network access control, endpoint compliance, and secure onboarding capabilities (C2C focus).
- Drive the engineering, deployment, and operationalization of zero-trust workload protection, application visibility, and dynamic micro-segmentation policies across the enterprise (CSW focus).
- Ensure all deployed network solutions and configurations adhere strictly to approved architectural designs, DoD STIGs, and RMF compliance requirements.
- Coordinate directly with cybersecurity, systems engineering, and cloud teams to ensure seamless integration of network security tools across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including architecture diagrams, data flow maps, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Evaluate and test emerging network technologies, firmware updates, and security patches prior to enterprise deployment.
