The Site Security Manager is responsible for developing and running a complete security program for one assigned project, in compliance with the Contract Security Program and with the security requirements of the contract.

What you will do:
• Develop, implement and continually revise the project security plan and Security Implementation Plan, providing analysis and feedback throughout the project so that measures keep pace with its evolving nature.
• Prepare and maintain the access control plan for the entire site across all phases of construction, including the scope of work for the access control system supplier and the determination of the most suitable measures, whether alarm systems, access badges, closed-circuit television, lighting or biometrics.
• Create security guard post orders and schedules and work closely with the guard supplier so that the project's security needs are met.
• Deliver security orientation and training to all project personnel, develop the awareness sessions, and keep track of who has been trained.
• Develop, implement, monitor and continually update the document management system governing the production, distribution, handling and safeguarding of protected and classified information for the project.
• Create and maintain the registry of authorized project personnel, recording the areas of the site and the information each person is authorized to access.
• Implement the security incident reporting procedure, monitor and address non-compliance with security requirements, and conduct investigations and report writing.
• Prepare and implement the project security inspection, testing and audit plan, conduct the inspections, and prepare the supporting documentation and records.
• Prepare monthly security reports and present them to upper management and to the owner throughout the project.
• Assist the project team in preparing the schedule so that security clearances and approvals are planned far enough in advance to allow for processing time.
• Chair and minute project security meetings, participate in security matters with all stakeholders, and plan emergency security response and coverage.
• Supervise the site Security Coordinators assigned to the project on site.

This role could be for you if you have:
• Eight or more years of industrial security experience under the Contract Security Program, including several years holding a Company Security Officer or Alternate Company Security Officer appointment for an organization with a facility security clearance and document safeguarding capability.
• Demonstrated authority with PSPC, DCC and DND at the level at which the company signs, commits, and answers for itself.
• Experience leading a distributed security function across multiple regions and projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), with the ability to accurately update and maintain documents and spreadsheets while preserving formatting and attention to detail.
• Eligibility to promptly obtain and maintain a federal personnel security clearance to the level of Secret requiring ten years of continuous residency in Canada and a clear criminal record.
• ASIS PSP or CPP certification is a strong asset.
• Fluent bilingualism in both official languages is a strong asset.
