Position Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Site Safety Manager to provide third-party safety oversight for construction crews at a new construction site. The Site Safety Manager will ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, standards, and company policies, fostering a safe working environment for all personnel. Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, this role involves proactive monitoring, risk assessment, and collaboration with crews to uphold best-in-class safety practices throughout the project lifecycle. Business conduct must occur in accordance with OMS policies and procedures and be aligned with the goals of OMS.
Overtime may be available for this role.
Essential Functions:
• Conduct daily safety inspections and audits of the construction site to identify hazards, unsafe practices, or non-compliance with OSHA, local, and project-specific safety standards.
• Provide independent, third-party oversight of construction crews, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and procedures during all phases of work.
• Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety plans in coordination with the Construction Manager and project team.
• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents, preparing detailed reports with root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and orientations to construction crews to promote awareness and compliance.
• Monitor the use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE), safety signage, and emergency response resources.
• Collaborate with the Construction Manager to address safety concerns, enforce accountability, and integrate safety into daily operations.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and compliance documentation for audits or regulatory review.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries from crews, subcontractors, and third-party stakeholders.
• Stay current on industry safety trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve site safety performance.
• Acknowledge and participate in OMS H&S programs and trainings.
• Other duties as assigned by OMS or the client.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in construction safety management, preferably with third-party oversight responsibilities.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and construction safety best practices.
• Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety training sessions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse crews and report effectively to the Construction Manager.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently as a third-party overseer while fostering a collaborative relationship with the project team.
• Experience on industrial construction projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with local safety regulations and permitting requirements in Colorado is preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
• Conduct a background check, drug screening, and physical exam.
• Approval by Client Representative.
Working Conditions:
Environmental Factors: Indoor and outdoor conditions; exposure to heat, cold, potentially hazardous chemicals, toxic materials; work on/walk on slippery or uneven and potentially mountainous terrain. Noise level is usually moderate.

Pay Range
$45.00 Hourly to $52.00 Hourly
