We are looking for a talented Site Reliaiblity Engineer II to join our team. You will manage system availability, automate operational tasks, and enhance service reliability. You will be working on a global team that will ensure system reliability and performance. Together, this team will provide 24/7 emergency and second- and third-level support for products, restoring services as quickly as possible by taking immediate action when downtime occurs.
*This role will require you to work out of our Waltham, MA office multiple days.
Primary Job Responsibilites:Technical Implementation & Development
- Develop automation scripts to reduce manual intervention in operations
- Implement monitoring and alerting strategies for infrastructure and applications
- Participate in incident response and post-mortem analyses
- Work with development teams to design resilient systems and implement SRE best practices
Project Scope & Complexity
- Handle infrastructure reliability tasks and small-scale automation efforts independently
Communication & Impact
- Work with development and operations teams to improve service availability
Leadership & Growth
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in reliability engineering
Qualifications:Education
- BS or MS in Computer Science, IT or a related field
Years and Type of Experience
- 2-4 years of work experience in a Site Reliability Engineering/ Platform Engineering/ DevOps role or similar
Key Skills, Knowledge, & Capabilities- Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)
- Monitoring and observability (Datadog, Grafana)
- CI/CD pipelines (Github Actions, Flux, ArgoCD)
- Containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Cloud architecture (GCP, AWS)
- Incident management
- Troubleshooting
- Programming language proficiency (Go, C++, Python)
- Fluent in English; knowledge of German is beneficial
The base salary for this role located in Massachusetts is between $115,000 - $130,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
