Full Job Description
As an Advisor in Strategic Sourcing, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of raw materials and components for Cardinal Health Brand products, spend and suppliers. You will support the development of sourcing strategies to achieve best total value, sustainable productivity and high levels of quality and service aligned with cross-functional business objectives. Additionally, you will lead the execution of the sourcing strategies within your assigned manufacturing sites. This will include creating site-specific plans for strategy implementation, understanding resource requirements, and driving alignment with site leadership on timelines. You will also work with manufacturing partners to understand supply needs, effectively select suppliers, negotiate favorable contracts, and manage supplier performance and relationships. This will include understanding your portfolio risk profile and developing mitigation actions and plans. You will have the opportunity to participate in process improvement projects with cross-functional partners utilizing Lean Six Sigma principles. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in the Riverview, Florida facility. Responsibilities 3 Responsible for managing supplier escalations driven by site buyer/planner including assurance of supply, pricing discrepancies and accounts payable. 3 Responsible for managing VIP pipeline accuracy through conducting stakeholder (Finance, GSM, Site resources) alignment meetings & subsequent project status reporting. 3 Support development of sourcing strategies by utilizing strong process and project management skills 3 Develop and execute requests for proposals, information, or quotes (RFx) 3 Develop and execute site-specific addressable (non-contractual) supplier inflation mitigation plans. 3 Support and lead supplier negotiations as required. 3 Conduct site supplier discoveries and execute supplier due diligence 3 Perform data analysis and utilize financial acumen to identify opportunities to leverage scale and drive cost savings 3 Establish collaborative environment with key suppliers and manufacturing partners to optimize supplier performance and innovation. 3 Review contract requirements to negotiate critical terms and conditions in line with sourcing strategy. 3 Supporting supplier selection by being familiar with manufacturing, quality and supply chain processes 3 Drive supplier performance management by utilizing supplier dashboards and reporting 3 Participate & represent sourcing in alignment with GSM as required at scheduled site QBRs and budget discussions Qualifications 3 Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in related field, preferred 3 4-6 years of experience in related field preferred 3 Results oriented with proven execution experience 3 Negotiation experience, preferred 3 Project Management experience, preferred 3 Knowledge/experience in category management including technical product knowledge, cost drivers, related industry dynamics and market trends, preferred 3 Demonstrated effectiveness in project and process management in order to execute sourcing strategy with cross functional teams. 3 Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively and interact with personnel at various levels of expertise on a global landscape. 3 Demonstrated financial acumen with an ability to interpret data and analytics 3 Solid presentation abilities, including proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel 3 Travel 10-15%.
