Job DescriptionThe Site Manager is responsible for the end-to-end execution of on-site project activities, from mobilization through commissioning and final acceptance. This role leads all field operations, ensuring safe, on-time, and high-quality installation of automated material handling systems while acting as the primary on-site interface with the customer.
This position is a key member of the project leadership team and drives coordination across engineering, controls, commissioning, subcontractors, and customer stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Site Execution & Leadership- Lead all on-site project activities from mobilization through commissioning and demobilization
- Manage installation and integration of automated systems (shuttles, conveyors, AS/RS, robotics)
- Drive daily execution to meet schedule, budget, and quality targets
- Act as the on-site decision maker and escalation point
Safety & Compliance- Own site safety program and enforce all safety standards (OSHA / local regulations)
- Conduct daily safety walks, toolbox talks, and audits
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety procedures
- Drive a zero-incident culture
Planning & Schedule Management- Develop and manage short-term and look-ahead schedules
- Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
- Identify risks early and implement mitigation actions
- Track progress vs. plan and adjust execution strategy
Stakeholder & Customer Management- Serve as primary on-site contact for the customer
- Lead coordination meetings
- Communicate progress, risks, and recovery plans
Installation & Quality Management- Oversee mechanical, electrical, and controls installation
- Ensure installation meets engineering specifications
- Manage punch lists and inspections
Commissioning & Handover- Coordinate transition to commissioning teams
- Support testing, validation, and acceptance
- Lead site closeout and documentation
Reporting & Controls- Produce site reports (progress, risks, safety)
- Track budget, productivity, and materials
- Maintain documentation and support forecasting
Qualifications- 5+ years in site management, construction, or industrial installation
- Experience with automated material handling systems or robotics
- Proven leadership of field teams and subcontractors
-The travel percentage will vary depending on project lifecycle, it should average at 60 to 90% across the year.

Salary Range: $90to $122k
