Job BriefAs the Site Manager, you will plan and lead the site operations as established in procedures and guidelines set by the company in the areas of people, equipment, material and environmental safety, cost performance, customer product and service delivery.
What You'll DoAs the Site Manager, you will plan and lead the site operations as established in procedures and guidelines set by the company in the areas of people, equipment, material and environmental safety, cost performance, customer product and service delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable HSEQ Performance Standards, and site security program. Other duties will include:
- Proactively work to achieve compliance with safety systems (PTW, MOC, HAT, and Risk Assessments)
- Responsive in the event of a safety related incident, and/or investigation, and implements corrective action with urgency
- Supervises and trains personnel in the safe and proper operation and care of all equipment in process, storage and loading facilities.
- Responsible to maintain and enforce training plans, procedures, plant policies and standards.
- Develops staff through training and delegation
- Responsible to respect the rights of others and to help create a discrimination and harassment free workplace
- Facilitate all personnel actions as required (scheduling, recognition and reward, discipline)
- Contribute to achieving budgeted customer profitability as measured by EBIT
- Manage maintenance systems for all company assets to minimum company standards
- Eliminate all forms of waste from site operations
- Participate and encourage active participation in Continuous Improvement Processes, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.
- Assist with field trial of new products and services where required
- Work closely with engineering as needed in the commissioning of new equipment
- Ensure all operational personnel are 100% trained in the Operator Training System (OTS) and skilled to perform assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner
What We're Looking For- Responsible to maintain the annual spend/cost budget for the site (cash fixed cost).
- Minimum 5 years working experience with progressively increasing professional or technical responsibility with a minimum of 2 years in supervisory role within a relevant industry
- Experience with manufacture of emulsion matrix, bulk truck delivery and on-bench blasting operations
- Experience with safety, environment, quality, maintenance and training systems
- Ability to interpret and evaluate operating procedures and convey to operating personnel.
