A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager specializing in high voltage substation construction. You will oversee all site operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You'll be responsible for managing contractors, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring adherence to environmental regulations and local permits. Daily, you'll monitor progress, verify quality standards, conduct safety and environmental inspections, and maintain communication with customers and the project management team. Your role will be key to the successful execution of high voltage substation projects while ensuring all activities are aligned with regulatory and quality requirements.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Oversee all substation construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and permitting standards.
  • Manage and coordinate contractors and construction crews, ensuring work is completed safely and on schedule.
  • Conduct environmental inspections, spill reporting, and ensure compliance with site-specific environmental permits, including SWPPP rules.
  • Provide comprehensive reports to the management team and clients, including daily progress updates, safety logs, and any site-related incidents.
  • Conduct safety training for all site personnel, identify job hazards, and ensure adherence to OSHA standards and the Zero Harm safety program; Ensure all incidents are logged and tracked accurately within internal systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and third-party inspectors to resolve issues, monitor quality control, and ensure compliance with design specifications.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5 or more years of experience in construction site management, with a must-have background in high voltage substation construction. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.
  • Solid understanding of grid operations, BESS, substation controls, and high voltage construction standards.
  • Strong command of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and safety management for critical infrastructure.
  • Skilled in interpreting electrical drawings, managing QA/QC procedures, and ensuring design/spec adherence.
  • Effective communicator with proven ability to multitask, stay composed under pressure, and deliver thorough daily reporting.
Must be willing and able to be on-site during projects (~6-8 months) within the US.
