The Site Logistics Manager - Waltham is responsible for leading site logistics operations that enable reliable customer fulfillment, inventory integrity, compliant material handling, and efficient product flow. This role owns receiving, storage, inventory control, shipping, OEM transformation activities, and logistics support processes for the Waltham site, ensuring safe, compliant, and scalable operations that support Abcam's growth, manufacturing continuity, and customer commitments.

Global Operations organization located in our
Waltham, MA facility and will be an
on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:- Lead safe and compliant comprehensive logistics operations across receiving, inventory control, shipping, OEM transformation activities, and material handling processes, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, trade, and regulatory requirements, including audit readiness and inventory integrity.
- Deliver reliable customer fulfillment through disciplined daily execution across receiving, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and order fulfillment activities, driving performance against key operational metrics including on-time shipment, fulfillment accuracy, productivity, and service levels.
- Develop and maintain robust inventory control and material flow processes, including cycle counting, reconciliation, root-cause analysis, transaction accuracy, location management, and corrective actions that improve inventory accuracy and operational responsiveness.
- Lead, develop, and build capability within the Waltham Logistics organization, including managers, supervisors, and associates, through effective staffing, performance management, succession planning, daily management, visual management, and standard work.
- Drive continuous improvement, capacity planning, warehouse optimization, automation enablement, cost management, and DBS initiatives that improve customer experience, operational resilience, inventory performance, productivity, and scalability.
The essential requirements of the job include:- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline; equivalent experience considered.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in logistics, warehousing, distribution, supply chain, manufacturing operations, or related operational leadership roles.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience, including leadership of managers, supervisors, or frontline operational teams.
- Experience operating within a regulated environment such as life sciences, biotechnology, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or other quality-focused industries.
- Demonstrated experience managing inventory control, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving processes, ERP/WMS transactions, carrier management, and material handling operations.
- Experience applying Lean, DBS, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Daily Management, or similar continuous improvement methodologies to improve operational performance and sustain results.
- Demonstrated experience using operational KPIs, visual management, and structured problem-solving to drive measurable improvements in service, quality, inventory accuracy, productivity, and cost performance.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role
- Ability to travel domestically as needed, estimated up to 10% of the time, including occasional overnight travel for training, supplier engagement, cross-site collaboration, or operational support.
- Ability to work in an office, warehouse, manufacturing, and shipping environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move through operational areas of the site as needed.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:- Experience supporting logistics transformation, warehouse automation, or network optimization initiatives.
- APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD).
- Experience leading logistics operations in a high-growth life sciences or manufacturing environment.

The annual salary range for this role is $82000-143500. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
