Full Job Description
Position Summary

The Site Manager will provide operation and maintenance (O&M) support for the Administrative Telephone System and cable plant at Tooele Army Depot. Service support includes but is not limited to: Customer Service (telephone), Switchboard Operations, Inside Plant, and Outside Plant (Cable).

Individuals must be able to attain and maintain a valid US Government Secret security clearance to be retained in the position.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provides management to complex communications projects which may include IT, Network, Communications, and Telecommunications.
  • Supervises a team of multi-disciplined professionals; provides advanced expertise and proven experience in at least two of the IT help desk, network and system operations and support, radio communications, antenna/tower communications, and telecommunications.
  • Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills coupled with excellent interpersonal and team skills. Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Provides network and system administration support.
  • Must be able to read, interpret, and develop engineering specifications and drawings.
  • Understanding of technical documents, architectural plans, floor plans, site survey reports, test plans, schedules, procedures and acceptance test reports, equipment performance, operational test,s and feedback to the proper individuals/departments.
  • Configuration management to evaluate proposed changes/upgrades to the infrastructure (hardware/software).
  • Provides management and reporting of work requests utilizing the Army's Enterprise Remedy automated work order system, to track and work customer requests.
  • Inputs data of work requests that are processed in the Workload Analysis Report.
  • Supports troubleshooting and resolution of voice/data communication installations, upgrades and problems across the enterprise.
  • Manages training and certification of employees.
  • Must be detail and safety oriented.

Education & Experience Requirements

Skill & Certification Requirements
  • IAT Level II with CE certification
  • Current technology in LAN/WAN particularly Cisco and Brocade systems
  • Advanced knowledge of Routers, Switches, and Hubs
  • IT operations and server support
  • Proficient in troubleshooting techniques
  • May be required to lift more than 50lbs
  • Position requires sitting, standing, kneeling for long periods of time
