About this opportunity:

The Site Acquisition Manager III (SAM III) is a subject matter expert and recognized industry leader in telecommunications site acquisition and deployment. Based in the US, this experienced-level role is accountable for all entitlement requirements across assigned sites and serves as the primary decision-maker on entitlement and pre-construction matters. The SAM III leads and mentors site acquisition teams and service providers, oversees real estate, zoning, permitting, and compliance activities, and acts as the escalation point for unresolved issues across teams. This is an opportunity to shape strategy, drive project outcomes, and make a meaningful impact within a global technology leader operating in over 180 countries.

What you will do:
  • Advise on long- and short-term site acquisition strategies across markets, regions, and disciplines (NSB, Modifications, Small Cell, etc.)
  • Provide level-of-effort estimates during pre-sales and early project phases to support budget development
  • Lead weekly deployment calls and deliver detailed site status reports to customers and project management
  • Manage leasing, landlord consent, zoning, and permitting activities end-to-end
  • Oversee A&E firms in producing lease exhibits, zoning drawings, and construction drawings
  • Obtain regulatory approvals (NEPA, SHPO, Phase 1, etc.) and manage the Notice to Proceed process
  • Identify project risks and communicate mitigation strategies to the Project Manager and customer
  • Assess service provider performance and drive continuous improvement
  • Maintain accurate records in applicable databases of record and ensure quality audit compliance

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Planning, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in telecommunications site acquisition
  • Proven track record managing diverse site acquisition deployments
  • Extensive experience with MLA partners and tower companies
  • Strong negotiation skills and expertise in contract language review
  • Deep knowledge of real estate practices, telecommunications construction processes, and LTE network design fundamentals
  • Experience managing budgets with profit and loss responsibility
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to work independently
    Willingness to travel as required
  • Post-graduate degree, PMP Certification, Real Estate License, or Ericsson Ways of Working experience a plus

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan ( STV ): Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Your Financial Security

We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson match $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson's full matching contributions of 4%. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson's Stock Purchase Plan.

Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
