Job Summary:The SIT Engineer is responsible for end-to-end system integration and validation, ensuring that hardware, firmware, software, and related subsystems function together reliably and meet defined product requirements. The role performs interface and protocol verification, identifies integration issues and system-level defects, and collaborates with cross-functional engineering teams to drive root-cause analysis and resolution. This position is critical to improving overall system quality, compatibility, and reliability while reducing integration risks and supporting successful product validation and release.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Execute end-to-end system integration testing across hardware, firmware, software, and related subsystems to identify functional and interface defects. Analyze test failures, perform initial debugging and root-cause investigation, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to drive issues through resolution and verification.
- Develop comprehensive integration test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on system requirements, architecture, interfaces, and expected use conditions to ensure adequate coverage of functional, integration, and system-level requirements.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve test efficiency, repeatability, and coverage. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD workflows to support continuous validation, regression testing, and early defect detection throughout the development lifecycle.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot system integration test environments, including required hardware, firmware, software, network configurations, test tools, and supporting infrastructure, to ensure reliable and consistent test execution.
- Perform system-level performance, stress, stability, and robustness testing to evaluate system behavior under various workloads and operating conditions. Identify performance bottlenecks, stability concerns, and integration risks that could affect product quality and reliability.
- Document test procedures, results, defects, and technical findings; track and report key testing metrics and issue trends; and participate in post-mortem reviews to identify lessons learned and improve future integration testing processes.
Education:- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or Telecommunications Engineering
Experience:- 2+ years of End-to-End System Testing & Defect Isolation Experience
- 1+ years of API Testing & Protocol Verification Experience
- 1+ years of Test Automation & Scripting Frameworks Experience
- 1+ years of Test Environment Deployment & Infrastructure Experience
- 1+ years of CI/CD Integration & DevOps Pipeline Exposure
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:Frequently works in office, laboratory, and manufacturing environments, requiring computer use, technical document review, product inspection, and regular movement between work areas. The role may involve occasional handling of test equipment or product samples and exposure to operating equipment, elevated noise levels, and other laboratory or production conditions; appropriate PPE may be required.
