Job Summary
We are seeking a SIP Developer (OCCAS) to design, develop, and support SIP-based applications within an OMNIChannel platform. This role is responsible for building and maintaining Oracle Communications Cloud Application Server (OCCAS) applications focused on session management, SIP routing, SIPREC recording, and integrations across Session Border Controllers (SBCs), Amazon Connect, and AI-driven platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SIP protocol development, call orchestration, Java-based SIP applications, and production support in enterprise voice environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain OCCAS-based SIP applications.
• Develop session handling, routing logic, and SIP dialog control.
• Implement SIP header manipulation, normalization, routing logic, and dial plan management.
• Optimize SIP flows for performance, scalability, resiliency, and failover.
• Build and maintain SIPREC-based recording and media flows across OCCAS, SBCs, Media Hub, and recording platforms.
• Implement SIPREC routing, multi-stream recording, metadata handling, and RTP media processing.
• Troubleshoot complex SIPREC scenarios, including Re-INVITE flows, recording failures, session looping, and high CPS conditions.
• Integrate OCCAS applications with Session Border Controllers (SBCs) for SIP routing, normalization, TLS enforcement, and SIP trunking.
• Support SIP signaling security, traffic shaping, and transport reliability across distributed environments.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.
• Ensure code quality through automated testing, validation, and security scanning.
• Support trunk-based development, release management, and rollback strategies.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end SIP testing.
• Validate SIP signaling, session behavior, SIPREC recordings, and metadata accuracy.
• Perform load and performance testing for call throughput and concurrency.
• Provide L3/L4 production support for SIP session failures, routing issues, and signaling errors.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA), incident resolution, and post-incident reviews.
• Develop operational runbooks and automation to improve platform reliability.
• Integrate SIP applications with contact center platforms including Amazon Connect, Genesys, and AI/Bot platforms.
• Support AI-driven routing, agent-assist capabilities, analytics, and bot-to-agent escalation workflows.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with SIP protocol (RFC 3261) and related SIP standards.
• Expertise in SIPREC implementation and call recording architectures.
• Strong development experience using Java, J2EE, and SIP Servlets within Oracle OCCAS/WebLogic environments.
• Deep understanding of SIP call flows, SDP, RTP media handling, session management, and SIP dialog state management.
• Experience developing applications on Oracle OCCAS or equivalent SIP application servers.
• Experience working with Session Border Controllers (Oracle, AudioCodes, Acme Packet, or similar).
• Familiarity with Media Hub architectures and enterprise call recording platforms.
• Experience integrating with contact center platforms such as Amazon Connect, Genesys, or Cisco UCCE.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub and Jenkins.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of AWS cloud services and cloud-native deployments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills using Wireshark, SIP traces, SIP ladder diagrams, and observability tools.
• Experience debugging high-volume, real-time SIP environments.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting large-scale SIP platforms with multi-cluster OCCAS deployments.
• Knowledge of telecom standards such as 3GPP and IMS.
• Experience integrating AI/ML voice solutions, including agent assist and conversational analytics.
• Familiarity with PCI-compliant or regulated call recording environments.
• Experience designing scalable, highly available enterprise voice platforms.

• SIP Protocol (RFC 3261).
• SIPREC implementation and recording architecture.
• Java, J2EE, and SIP Servlets.
• SIP call orchestration and session management.
• SIP routing, dialog control, and call flow development.
• Session Border Controllers (Oracle SBC, AudioCodes, Acme Packet).
• Amazon Connect and Genesys integration.
• GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Wireshark, SIP tracing, RTP, SDP, and SIP ladder analysis.
