Job Summary Minnesota Housing is hiring! We're a mission-focused financial institution looking for a Single Family Project Manager who will manage and communicate complex business and technical projects to ensure that processes and systems support the Single Family division's priorities, workplan and the agency's strategic plan.
Essential Job Duties - Manage and deploy prioritized Single Family projects to ensure that processes and systems support the division workplan and agency strategic plan.
- Lead Single Family efforts for Agency-wide projects so the needs of the Single Family division are met.
- Research and analyze new project opportunities and shepherd from concept through implementation.
- Lead Single Family project portfolio, manage resource allocations and collaborate with IT.
- Establish and implement project management standards within the division to ensure all staff are aware of participation expectations and responsibilities as projects are started and deployed.
- Participate in Single Family Business Operations team planning and leadership activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications To be qualified for and considered for this position, applicants must meet all of the minimum qualifications listed below. Only applicants whose resumes clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for this position. - Three (3) years of experience managing complex projects within single-family mortgage financing, including applying project management procedures.
- Knowledge of risk management and issue resolution, including the ability to identify, assess, track, and mitigate project risks related to regulatory compliance or financial exposure.
- Skill in eliciting business needs, documenting requirements, and translating them into clear project goals, work packages, and actionable tasks for technical and operational teams.
- Ability to write and manage project documentation, including business requirements, project plans, and related materials.
- Strong cross - functional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with business units, compliance, finance, IT, vendors, and leadership at various levels.
- Organizational and time - management skills to oversee multiple concurrent projects, timelines, and stakeholders, with the ability to prioritize, work independently or collaboratively, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
- Cultural competency as demonstrated by skills for communication and interaction across cultures and awareness of one's own world view and that different world views exist ).
Preferred Qualifications - Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Leadership experience in single family mortgage lending operations
- Five (5) years of project management experience in a financial institution
- A Bachelor's degree, in Business or Project Management
