Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a Simulation Analysis Engineer to contribute to our mission in a dynamic startup environment. As a Simulation Analysis Engineer, you will verify that our real-time, integrated simulations perform as expected and match the analytical and experimental data. You will develop visualization and batch processing tools for this analysis. You will work with our team to design experiments and document the results. Take the #NextLeap with Lunar Outpost and work on the Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV), which will carry NASA astronauts farther than they\'ve ever been before on the lunar surface!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Run simulation cases to perform system and subsystem analysis
  • Document test procedures and results
  • Collate data into presentable charts from the generated simulation data
  • Communicate results to other team members and provide insight into test results
  • Develop tooling for batch processing of simulation cases
  • Develop tooling for report generation from batch simulation runs
  • Work with test engineers to define test plans


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, Math or related discipline
  • Experience in Python and C++, ability to write reusable code
  • Experience in Data Visualization, e.g. matplotlib in python
  • Understanding of physical systems and their models, e.g. Radio Systems, Thermal Systems, Vehicle Dynamics, Power Systems, image/camera models
  • Understanding of statistics and other mathematical concepts as they relate to engineering
  • Ability to communicate technical results to a wide audience
  • Able to design and carry out simulation experiments for performance analysis
  • Able to design and work with a team to carry out experiments using physical systems
  • Self-motivated, focused, and driven to meet critical deadlines
  • Excellent organization and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • List 4-8 skills and experience that would be nice to have but are not required - like certifications or specific software application knowledge
  • Experience with Python, matplotlib, pandas, csv files
  • Experience with ROS2
  • Experience with State Space Modelling, Control Theory, State Estimation
  • Experience with git and other modern software development practices
