Position: Signal Integrity EngineerLocation: Hampton, NHWe are currently seeking a Signal Integrity Engineer to join our team and lead the Ardent SI community and help drive new product development. Ardent has experienced explosive growth in the last 5 years and it is imperative that we stay ahead of the technology requirement in interconnect. This position is located in our Hampton Beach, NH office.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Contribute to dedicated teams responsible for customer system development and support from concept to production.
- Develop integration and test strategies in support of new product introduction.
- Assist with providing solutions to customers across a wide range of sectors with their high-speed data transmission requirements
- Communicate solutions directly to customers and associated stakeholders, internally and externally
- Design and evaluate next generation production test platforms.
- Support the production line testing by analyzing data in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Work directly with production line test technicians to oversee daily product testing and troubleshoot failure modes when required
- Support the internal Sales Engineers to develop strategies for product break-in at existing and new accounts based on signal integrity and electrical engineering expertise.
- Design, simulation, characterization, and application of high-speed electrical connectors and cable-based interconnect
- Share knowledge and pursue continuous improvement in methods and workflows.
- Design, build, and measure circuit boards for measurement and verification of products
- Apply circuit theory and high-speed digital transmission, PCB layout principles for high-speed digital design
QUALIFICATIONS: - BS in Electrical Engineering, MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- 2-5 years of industry experience with an understanding of electro-magnetic principles for digital signal integrity
- Experience in component design and application of high-speed connectors into communications equipment is a plus
- Experience with signal integrity measurements and debugging with TDR, VNA, pattern generators, error detectors and similar measurement equipment.
- Experience with signal integrity and simulation/analysis tools such as Ansys HFSS and Designer, CST Microwave, HSPICE, MatLab, and ADS
- Hands-on experience with frequency-domain and time-domain component and circuit characterization including understanding of test and calibration methods
- Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders
