  • Provide subject matter expertise and implement agile best practices for SIGINT systems engineering.
  • Coordinate CONOPS for SIGINT mission planning and scheduling systems.
  • Write and translate customer requirements into actionable Epics and Features.
  • Act as an Integrator, understanding system-to-system interfaces.
  • Evaluate and assess designs against proposed development and acquisition.
  • Monitor project schedules and dependencies within system segments.
  • Identify and assess risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate planning events and demonstrations to support Agile sprints and increments.
  • Review Request for Changes (RFCs) to determine impacts and author RFCs as needed.
  • Support automated testing and verification efforts in Agile and DevOps environments.
  • Integrate new initiatives to enhance SIGINT mission capabilities and collaborate with developers and users.
  • Participate in studies shaping the future of SIGINT capabilities.

Full Job Description
SAIC is seeking SIGINT Systems Engineer to support SAIC's Prime Program, Aretuza in Aurora, CO. Aretuza is SAIC's large SETA program, supporting the NRO's Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle.

Responsibilities to include:
  • Provide subject matter expertise and agile best practices to our team; as well as perform the following functions as a SIGINT Systems Engineer, by using a holistic approach and providing end-to-end systems engineering throughout our systems' lifecycle:
  • Coordinate CONOPS of SIGINT mission planning and scheduling systems.
  • Write and translate requirements into Epics/Features based on emerging customer needs.
  • Understand system-to-system interfaces and act as an Integrator.
  • Evaluate system designs and trade-space proposed and implemented by our developers, while working in coordination with the acquisition offices (AOs).
  • Assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
  • Monitor system and segment schedules, recognize dependencies.
  • Identify risks and opportunities.
  • Facilitate readiness, release planning events, and demonstrations in support of system and acquisition-level sprints and increments.
  • Review Request for Changes (RFCs) and identify impacts, in addition author RFCs for the customer.
  • Support Agile and DevOps automated test and verification (V&V).
  • Integrate new systems and initiatives in support of expanded SIGINT mission planning and scheduling capabilities, work directly with our developers and users in operations!
  • Participate in studies looking at the future generation of SIGINT capabilities spanning the next decade.


Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Current and Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly.
  • 5 years' experience with space/ground aerospace systems engineering/architecting.
  • Familiarity with overall SIGINT ground customer, technical familiarity with mission control and/or processing of one or more SIGINT systems.
  • Integration and closure experience within overall customer domain.
  • Willingness to learn new areas.
  • Commitment to recognize, understand, respect, and operate effectively within various SETA, FFRDC, and Government lines of authority.
