Full Job Description
We are seeking qualified individuals for the role of Plant Maintenance Planner. Please note that this is not a fly-in, fly-out position and will be based in Labrador West, NL. This position will be on a 5x2 Monday to Friday rotation - 8-hour day shifts Job Responsibilities: • Work with Maintenance planning leadership, coordinators, and planners to develop short, mid, and long-term plans for equipment maintenance. • Accountable to lead all planning activities for major shutdowns. • Develop quality work plans for area maintenance and operational teams for all shutdown work. • Ensure shutdown job package content adheres to safety standards, quality specifications and regulatory requirements. • Coordinate area planners to also deliver quality work packages for all shutdown work. • Work with maintenance execution and project teams to execute business wide shutdown strategies, develop detailed asset plans, create master schedules, and optimize execution plans across multiple departments and external stakeholders. • Assist shutdown coordinator and execution teams with securing the necessary personnel, equipment, and materials for shutdowns. • Work closely with shutdown coordinator to manage the shutdown budget, track expenses, and seek opportunities for cost reduction without compromising safety or quality. • Support daily coordination meetings during shutdown execution, ensuring important information is captured, tracked and communicated for post review and future shutdowns. • Liaise with Maintenance Supervisors and purchasing and communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure resources are available when required. • Provide feedback to relevant leadership personnel regarding site issues that may affect the operating and financial performance of the operation and equipment. • Provide Plant Maintenance Superintendent with monthly reports and assist with changes where necessary. • Use the established systems to track shutdown activities against targets and notify leadership of gaps. • Contribute to the annual equipment budget where required. • Constantly seek continuous improvement opportunities. Skills and Qualifications: • Working knowledge of processing facility operations in the Mining industry, including Plant maintenance, safety, maintenance, equipment, and staff utilization. • Ellipse/CMMS knowledge preferred • Project management with the ability to meet deadlines. • Experience in document control systems. • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively train and mentor employees. • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • Comfortable with a fast-paced environment. • Excellent work ethic and attendance record. • 10+ years minimum planning experience Education: • Journeyperson Trade Certificate or Technical Diploma (Preferred) • Engineering Degree (Mechanical/Industrial/ Electrical/Process) License: • Driver's License (Required)
