Location: New York - This is a full-time, on-site role.
What You Would Get To DoIn this capacity, the ideal candidate would represent the FIRST brand as an implanted team member for one of our Solutions accounts in a well-known technology company and assume the role of Show Caller. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical production experience in the live event and broadcast industry. This role will orchestrate the execution of cues on complex shows and broadcasts. You'll liaise with FIRST teams and our client on a daily basis.
For events, the goal is to provide a seamless technology experience to all attendees, press and partners, as well as create a more efficient and reliable technical environment for event staff and vendors. This role will report into the Team Lead, Production Coordinator.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Organize and run client rehearsals and "day of" production of live events
- Serve as show caller for all technical cues
- Responsible for supervising and directing the control room tech team during events to execute the vision of clients and producers
- Responsible for the tech teams readiness on complex events
- Responsible for maintaining all event production deliverables and media for shows / events
- Coordinate across teams to ensure all technical requests for events are executed as desired
- Works with Venue Technical Director to develop technical cue to cue documentation
- Manage client expectations on production issues
- Participate in creative team brainstorming sessions
- Identify new and alternative ways of approaching FIRST's technical production offering to clients by collecting feedback, identifying trends and implementing changes
- Ensure team adheres to standard operating procedures and compliance processes
- Actively discuss technical errors and ensure that they will be rectified/escalated accordingly
- Maintain comprehensive event files and keep precise records for the client
- Develop, mentor, and provide feedback to team members on an on-going basis
- Serve as a dedicated in-room client resource focused on technical execution, elevated customer experience, and communication between the tech team and host
- Provide host with insights and best practices to fully capitalize off services and technology available
- Lead production calls and disseminate information accordingly
- Develop a detailed technical production plan and timelines in partnership with the key stakeholders
- Identify external equipment or staffing needs and communicate them to the Production Coordinator
- Define day-of-show communication methods, including tech chats, communication channels, and participants
- Communicate risks impacting the host's vision to stakeholders promptly
- Communicate budget-impacting changes to the host and maintain accurate billing information with the Production Coordinator
- Work with other Show Callers / Senior Technicians to create a Run of Show (ROS) aligned with the host's requirements
- Coordinate crew breaks strategically based on ROS
- Serve as the in-room escalation point for technical issues
- Conduct post-event debriefs with the host and technical team to identify lessons learned
- Oversee the delivery of recorded content to the client

- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Position requires 8-10 years of experience
- High level of proficiency in the technical delivery of high-quality events
- Excellent communication and customer service skills are a must to build and maintain relationships
- Ability to prioritize while adhering to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience managing day-to-day changes at every level of detail
- Ability to manage many projects at once with varying levels of production complexity
- Must be fluent in English
- Ability to work onsite
- This role will be assigned to a primary location but will require flexibility to be deployed to support across the campus as required

United States Residents: The base pay for this position ranges from $85,890.00 - $98,774.00This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, in accordance with applicable policies.
