SHIFT 2:30am

Step into a leadership role where you shape the success of our frontline team and guide up to 30 short-haul drivers through safe, high-performing daily operations. This position is hands-on, people-focused, and central to developing confident, capable employees who embody the WM Way.
  • Lead frontline success by equipping new drivers with tools, training, and daily support.
  • Drive consistent communication through daily check-ins and ongoing touchpoints with drivers
  • Reinforce best practices to elevate safety, service, and operational performance.
  • Support career growth by understanding employee goals and coaching toward progress.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with drivers to strengthen results.
  • Model strong coaching behaviors through active practice and feedback.

I. Job Summary

Supervises the day-to-day short haul operations and monitors compliance to safety and other regulations.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervises the development, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of processes, procedures and programs to improve safety, productivity, and profitability of the site.
  • Supervises transfer station staff and coordinates workflow and assignments.
  • Conducts recurring safety/compliance meetings.
  • Creates and submits weekly and month end reports to senior management.
  • Oversees personnel needs of the department including coaching, training, and evaluating employee performance.

PAY: The expected base pay range for this on-site position is $77,750- $111,837. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
