Full Job Description
Dura-Line, an Orbia Business, Shipping Manager in Gainesville, Texas. Join the Dura-Line team at our Gainesville site as an experienced Shipping Manager and play a vital role in the seamless supply chain and logistics operations of our industry-leading products and accessories. What You'll Be Doing: • Prepare and report operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring comprehensive cycle counts and accurate inventory levels (on-hand and enroute) for uninterrupted operations. • As a proven leader, mentor, and build a dedicated team committed to excellence, balancing quality, safety, morale, productivity, and cost to achieve positive results across all areas. • Drive continuous improvement projects, such as optimizing the reel return process, and prioritize safety as our top priority within a collaborative team environment. • Be accountable for meeting key metrics, including productivity, scrap percentage, labor and material utilization, On-Time Delivery, track OTS, material inventory levels, and reducing customer complaints. • Develop key programs, execute best practices, monitor stock levels, distribute supplies, work with external vendors, and collaborate with the account representative team on order management to meet customer delivery expectations. What You'll Bring Along: • High organizational skills and excellent communication to ensure on-time deliveries while minimizing inventory costs and maximizing accuracy. • Expertise in overseeing inventory supply levels (on-hand and enroute) for continuous operation in a lean manufacturing environment. • 4 years of firsthand experience in supply chain/logistics within a manufacturing setting, overseeing inventory, expenses, shipping, purchasing, cycle counts, and managing multiple projects. • Experience implementing a visual Kanban system for raw material inventory, managing finished goods master schedules, initiating just-in-time programs, and coordinating purchasing and supplier activity with production schedules. • Tech-savvy with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and communication tools; knowledge of ERP systems, with SAP experience preferred (Shipping Module). • Lean manufacturing mindset with training or implementation experience, six sigma, and a continuous improvement mindset. Execute lean manufacturing practices, including ISO, 5S, TQM, and Q12, utilizing data to drive corrective actions. • A minimum of 4 years of management/supervisory experience, showcasing your ability to coach and lead a team, manage shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory control functions. What We Offer You for All Your Hard Work: • The compensation for this position will typically range from $84,000 to $155,500/yearly. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. • The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
