Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing and managing the movement of products in and out of the organization. This role involves supervising a team of shipping and receiving personnel, ensuring accurate documentation, coordinating with internal departments and external partners, and maintaining a well-organized and streamlined shipping and receiving process. Perform necessary tasks to ensure proper loading, unloading, and storage of materials and finished products.

Job Location

This position will be located at our plant in Endicott, NY.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage shipping and receiving staff, including hiring, scheduling, performance management, and ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Maintain High Levels of Accuracy, Safety, and Performance: Implement and uphold operational standards to ensure the accuracy, safety, and performance of shipment operations.
  • Shipping yard Organization: Keep the yard clean and organized, ensuring that items are stored properly and in designated spots.
  • Communicate house-keeping standards, provide on-the-job training, and ensure duties, responsibilities, accountability, and authority of all direct reports are defined and understood.
  • Process Improvement: Lead structured process improvement projects to increase stockroom efficiency and productivity.
  • Organizing and rotating stock place in yard.
  • Oversee the accurate receiving and inspection of incoming shipments, ensuring compliance with purchase orders.
  • Leading team during yearly inventory to accurately count and report all pipe in stock.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in a manufacturing, shipping/loading, or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to communicate well with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to work in a team environment supportive of employees, the organization as well as safety and production efforts is a must.
  • Ability to operate a sit-down forklift.

Compensation

  • Base salary range of 80,000-90,000 per year
  • Target bonus 10%
