Full Job Description
Location: Tillsonburg, ON

Fleetwood Metal Industries, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Shift Manager Quality in our Tillsonburg, Ontario Stamping Facility. The Shift Manager Quality will assist with the facilitation of the QMS, integration of BMS throughout facility and maintains controlled documents. Coordinate the measurement team and e-coat lab teams to ensure compliance to customer requirements. Assist and back up Quality Manager as required. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in cold stamping, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Manage internal and external quality audits to determine the effectiveness of the quality system. Including IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and customer required audits.
  • Coach team members on how to answer corrective actions from audits with a PDCA approach. Submit corrective action from external audit to required certification portals.
  • Review audit results and customer needs to identify key areas for continuous improvement.
  • Lead Quality training to all leadership on our Business Management System's.
  • Manage internal document control in alignment with corporate requirements.
  • Review quality rejects to determine if corrective action is needed and coordinate implementation of corrections including follow up verification of effectiveness.
  • Maintain Dimensional Schedule and prioritize based on Customer needs/risk.
  • Schedule and monitor PM's for the e-coat line with assistance from maintenance and production teams.
  • Schedule and monitor training needs to Measurement and Calibration Support personnel and monitor third party calibrations of measuring equipment in compliance with IATF 16949.
  • Generate requisitions for Quality Department needed items including do not exceeds for customer sorts and invoices for outside services.
  • Monitor results of LPA with focus on, managing countermeasure responses, and assists leads to ensure closure in a timely manner including training of new auditors.
  • Provides daily support - departments Quality Auditors, and Quality Lead hands as needed.
  • Lead for the QMS system and BMS system
  • Assists in Customer Complaint investigation.
  • Monitor and report to Quality Manager of status of CAPA
  • Other duties as assigned by the management team.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Possess 3-5 years of lead or quality related experience in a fast-paced production/manufacturing environment.
  • Post-Secondary education in a related field (industrial or mechanical technology, quality, operations) or equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
  • Ability to retain information and communicate effectively
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50lbs)


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 years working in a stamping environment
  • IATF Auditor certification.


The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $95,000. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location and business or organizational needs.
