Summary

SUMMARY OF POSITION
The SharePoint Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions using Microsoft SharePoint, Power Platform, and related Microsoft 365 technologies. This role includes designing, deploying, customizing, and supporting SharePoint Online sites, lists, libraries, workflows, and forms, as well as building and supporting Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven), Power Automate workflows, and Dataverse-based solutions. The position integrates SharePoint and Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365 services, Azure, and third-party APIs, and works closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver scalable and secure solutions, and enhance collaboration, automation, and overall business efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Administers, configures, and supports SharePoint Online environments, including site collections, hubs, permissions, information architecture, lists, libraries, content types, and metadata.
  • Manages user access, security groups, retention policies, and compliance settings across SharePoint and Microsoft 365.
  • Establishes and enforces SharePoint governance standards, including site provisioning, naming conventions, storage management, and lifecycle policies.
  • Monitors system health, usage, and performance; troubleshoots issues and coordinates with Microsoft or internal teams for resolution.
  • Provides day-to-day operational support for SharePoint, including issue resolution, user assistance, and platform maintenance.
  • Designs and maintains basic business solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate to support departmental workflows and self-service automation.
  • Manages and maintains data sources such as SharePoint lists and libraries used by Power Platform solutions.
  • Integrates SharePoint with Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft 365 services.
  • Develops and maintains PowerShell scripts for administration, reporting, and automation tasks.
  • Maintains platform documentation, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures.
  • Trains and supports end users on SharePoint best practices and adoption.
  • Reviews and approves apps and flows for security, compliance, and operational readiness.
  • Acts as the primary technical owner for SharePoint within the organization.

  • Solid understanding of low-code/no-code platforms, UI/UX best practices, and business process automation.
  • Specialized proficiency with the Microsoft ecosystem (e.g., Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse).
  • Ability to seamlessly integrate Microsoft solutions with external applications and platforms through connectors, custom APIs, and middleware services.

Required Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any work related experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels in the below Minimum Qualifications may be an acceptable substitute.

Bachelor's degree, from an accredited college or university, in Computer Science or related discipline supplemented by four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in Information Technology Systems. Must have or obtain ITIL Foundation certification within 12 (twelve) months of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 4+ years of experience administering SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • Proven experience with permissions, security groups, retention, and compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with PowerShell for SharePoint and M365 automation.
  • Experience designing information architecture, metadata, and content management strategies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and operational support skills.
  • Experience with user adoption, training, and documentation.
  • Familiarity with Power Platform governance and ALM.
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
  • PL-900 (Power Platform Fundamentals)

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Must have Class C Texas Driver's License
  • Must pass CJIS Fingerprint prior to hire.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
