Job Description

SAIC is seeking a mission-driven Operational Support Officer to provide specialized technical and operational expertise in support of customer field activities. This role requires demonstrated foreign field experience, strong operational tradecraft, and the ability to deliver boutique technical solutions tailored to unique mission requirements. The ideal candidate excels in customer engagement, operational cable writing, and supporting engineering and targeting efforts across diverse mission spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute technical operations in the foreign field, applying operational and counterintelligence principles to ensure mission effectiveness.
  • Provide TDY operational support directly to field elements, integrating technical capabilities into active missions.
  • Draft, review, and manage operational cable traffic, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with customer standards.
  • Engage with mission-facing customer organizations to understand requirements and deliver tailored technical solutions.
  • Support operational, engineering, and targeting activities across the customer's mission space, contributing to both strategic and tactical objectives.
  • Apply expertise in at least one core customer discipline, including surveillance or information acquisition.
  • Collaborate with program leadership to identify support gaps, propose enhancements, and strengthen mission delivery.


Qualifications

  • Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly in order to be considered
  • Minimum of 18 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's Degree, or relevant experience can be substituted for the degree
  • Demonstrated experience planning and executing technical operations in the foreign field, including application of operational and CI principles.
  • Prior PCS experience or significant TDY experience in direct support of field operations.
  • Experience writing operational cable traffic.
  • Experience interfacing with customer mission-facing organizations to deliver boutique technical solutions.
  • Ability to support operational, engineering, and targeting efforts across the customer's mission space.
  • Significant experience in at least one customer discipline (surveillance or acquiring information).

Desired Qualifications:
  • Program management or programmatic experience leading the development and application of technical solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience with RF engineering and antenna design or application.
