Full Job Description
The Servicing Compliance & QC Manager oversees and manages compliance and quality control for Evergreen Home Loans' (EHL's) Servicing Division. This position will develop, implement and monitor the ongoing, internal compliance reviews covering the Servicing Department to help ensure that EHL has appropriate processes and methods to effectively comply with applicable federal and state regulations. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** - Work with VP of Compliance to establish a team responsible for researching, developing and performing servicing compliance functions based upon regulatory and internal requirements - Perform analysis of records, reports, regulations and operating procedures to develop review procedures, quality control reviews, controls and risk assessments, analysis of records, reports, regulations and operating practices and procedures. - Provide proactive guidance to Executive Management in identifying servicing compliance risk - Ensure servicing compliance by maintaining expert, up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulatory changes and amended laws in all aspects of residential servicing - Develop and maintain servicing compliance and QA/QC policies and procedures to foster a culture of compliance in the servicing division - Continually monitor and evaluate the adequacy and efficacy of policies and procedures and company adherence - Provide advance notification, which includes a summary of changes and the impact to the business, of all new requirements that go into effect - Responsible for accuracy of all servicing loan documents and creation of new forms and disclosures as necessary - Facilitate support for the Servicing Department on compliance-related questions and aid where to find necessary information. - Monitor servicing risk by identifying and analyzing risk to Servicing business/portfolio - Calibrate and perform monthly QC reviews of servicing files including due diligence reviews - Proactively provide training and feedback to servicing staff based on QC findings and results - Coordinate with Vendor Management to establish vendor vetting and oversight for annual vendor certifications and to perform vendor risk ratings and establish monthly performance scorecards with remediation plans - In consultation with superiors and subordinates, develops efficient workflow patterns, establishes performance standards, procedures and policies, ensures adequate staffing and staff training as needed to support compliance reviews - Engage with Compliance Oversight Committee to support communication and reporting on servicing compliance adherence. - Other duties as assigned. **Performance Expectations: ** - Perform all actions in accordance with the Mission, Vision, Convictions, policies, and procedures of EHL. - Manage the department to meet or exceed department productivity, production, and/or financial metrics. - Provide a "WOW" experience and effectively communicate with associates, clients, partners, and vendors via phone, written communication, and/or in person. - Set clear expectations for associates and support their personal and professional growth through one-on-one meetings (held semi-monthly or more frequently) and annual performance reviews for all direct reports. - Address performance issues in a timely manner and document incidents. - Anticipate staffing needs, plan for staffing changes in advance, and support recruiting and hiring efforts to maintain a high-quality, fully staffed team. - Maintain regular and timely communication with associates while fostering a positive work environment, mentor associates, and lead by example through professional demeanor and conduct. - Effectively utilize position-specific software applications and Microsoft Office products to perform assigned duties. Use approved AI tools, where appropriate for the role, to improve productivity, accuracy, scalability, and workflow efficiency while complying with company policies, security standards, privacy requirements, and data protection obligations. - Understand the responsibilities of production and operations and act as a liaison between functions to develop collaborative team relationships so that loans close on time and as promised. - Maintain basic knowledge of Evergreen's HR, onboarding, payroll, and accounting policies and systems and proactively consult the applicable department when dealing with issues. - Maintain knowledge of Evergreen's mortgage processes and products in order to answer questions and support staff. **Specific Skills/ Knowledge/ Abilities Required for Position:** - 4-5 years of Servicing compliance experience governing the mortgage and/or financial services, required. - Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Finance or related field or equivalent work experience required. - 2 years in a supervisory position, preferred. - Exercise good judgment and strong character, motivated, hard working. - Ability to work well with fellow associates, clients and vendors. - Good communication skills. Neat, clean, healthy work habits. **Physical Requirements:** - Requires sufficient dexterity and mobility to perform the essential functions of the position throughout the workday, which may include extended periods of sitting and/or standing. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, twist, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. - Specific vision abilities required by this job may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. - Must be able to effectively communicate and exchange accurate information and lift and carry up to twenty-five pounds (25 lbs.), or occasionally more. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, occasionally noisy environment. - May be required to drive for business purposes and, if so, must maintain a valid driver's license in good standing and personal auto insurance in compliance with EHL's Auto Insurance Policy. **Compensation: ** The base annual range rate for this position is $75k - $149k depending on a number of factors including location and experience. If applicable, associate may be eligible for per-file incentives, commissions, bonuses or other variable earnings as determined upon hire. **Benefits and Perks:** Eligible associates (and their families) have the option to enroll in medical, dental, and/or vision coverage of which both the associate and the company contribute towards expenses. Basic Life/AD&D insurance for eligible associates as well as a Short-term Disability benefit are provided by Evergreen.
