MetaPhase is seeking a ServiceNow Technical Architect with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of overall IT experience with a current CTA certification to be a part of a Federal IT team supporting our clients to transform their business and solve complex problems leveraging ServiceNow. You will be stepping into a growing team where you can leverage your expertise in ServiceNow to deliver on existing engagements and to play a role in standing up our corporate ServiceNow Business Practice.
Role Summary:
As a technical leader, you will establish yourself as a Subject Matter Expert and liaison among clients (current and future), business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders, and serve as lead and mentor for team members. The ServiceNow Technical Architect will oversee projects from an architecture design perspective through implementation, providing leadership and advocacy, as well as providing hands-on support as needed and assisting in troubleshooting/problem-solving.
The ServiceNow Technical Architect will provide technical expertise on a range of ServiceNow efforts, from ongoing projects to enterprise business transformation planning and implementation efforts. In transformation efforts, you will work with project teams to understand our clients' business transformation objectives, translate client needs into specific technical requirements, and define a ServiceNow solution to meet those requirements. You will be client-facing, collaborating with team members to develop and implement these requirements through ServiceNow - making ServiceNow architectural decisions, setting technical standards, matching solutions to business problems and helping our clients get the most from their ServiceNow investment. This role requires one to serve as the architect and lead developer and support several engagements at any given time.
What You Will Be Doing:
Attend senior management-level and stakeholder meetings to obtain business requirements, offer solutions, and serve as an expert on ServiceNow tool capabilities.
Lead technical team discussions around ServiceNow solution design, and architecture on larger development efforts such as integrations or new module implementations or customizations. Specifically ITSM and CSM.
Provide and ensure adherence to development guidelines as it relates to security, performance, re-usability, scalability and stability, code reviews, API usage
Collaborate with teams and clients to develop and maintain technical roadmap for ServiceNow platform that aligns with customer transformation objectives and balances technical and business needs
Lead Technical aspects of ServiceNow implementation projects and provide advanced technical support in ServiceNow tool configuration and custom development - Design, Development, and Implementation of ServiceNow customization including, but not limited to: core setup, workflow administration, scripting languages (JavaScript, GlideScript), reporting, data imports, custom scripting, integrations (REST APIs, Integration Hub, MID Server) and third-party software integrations.
Experience enabling or supporting AI architecture and technical roadmap for the ServiceNow platform Designing enterprise solutions leveraging Now Assist, AI Control Tower, Agentic AI, AI Agents, and Generative AI capabilities Establishing governance, security, compliance, and AI best practices
Create and maintain design specifications, architectural diagrams, and process diagrams supporting and communicating changes to ServiceNow platform applications.
Support business capture efforts across multiple federal markets by serving as the ServiceNow SME and contributing to proposals/responses, marketing materials, case studies, and participating in presentations and/or challenges.
Contribute to MetaPhase's ServiceNow service line by maintaining ServiceNow sandbox environments, working with other team members to develop/configure modules and applications for training or demo purposes, test upgrades/updates and new features.
Serve as a lead and mentor for team members supporting ServiceNow projects and looking to grow their ServiceNow skills; and support recruiting team when interviewing ServiceNow resources.
What We Need From You (Required):
15+ years of overall IT experience.
10+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Enterprise Architect and/or ServiceNow Developer.
Experience solutioning, designing, and implementing ServiceNow Cloud Platform solutions integrating with other Cloud Applications and Data Sources
Experience building scoped applications using ServiceNow Tools and Technology
Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence and consult (providing options with pros, cons and risks) around all key technical decisions
Hold ServiceNow certifications
Certified System Administrator (CSA),
Certified Application Developer (CAD),
At least two Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications.
Certified Technical Architect (CTA) preferred.
Experience supporting federal clients is required.

Compensation
Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is 190-220.
