Job Summary:
Gilroy Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is seeking a skilled CDJR Service Technician to join our team in Gilroy, California. This is a full-time, hourly position in the auto industry, with a compensation rate of $26 to $60 per hour. As a CDJR Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles, performing routine maintenance tasks, and providing excellent customer service to our clients.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly compensation rate includes a base hourly rate of $26.00 - $34.00 per hour. Flag rate is $32.00 - $60.00 per hour, both rates depending on certifications.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify and diagnose mechanical issues
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks according to dealership and manufacturer standards
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues
- Communicate effectively with customers and provide them with updates on their vehicle's status
- Keep accurate and detailed records of all services and repairs performed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and staying up-to-date on industry advancements
- Comply with all safety and regulatory standards
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Service Technician or in a similar role
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications preferred
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow dealership and manufacturer standards and procedures
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
