Full Job Description
Schneider Electric is seeking a BAS Service Technician in San Leandro, CA.

This exciting role is perfect for someone with BAS experience who is looking to elevate their career with a dynamic and innovative company.

This role requires extensive knowledge of operational procedures and tools, gained through significant work experience. Key skills and proficiencies include:
  • System Maintenance & Support: Services and maintains complex Building Automation Systems (BAS), ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Travel throughout the Bay Area to service these customers is required.
  • Technical Expertise: Diagnoses and repairs malfunctions in control systems, utilizing extensive knowledge of electronic and digital control systems.
  • Customer Communication: Communicates with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Regularly meets with clients to understand their operating challenges and keeps them informed about service progress, outstanding issues, and potential system enhancements.
  • Technical Resource: Acts as a technical resource for both the team and customers, offering insights and recommendations on system upgrades, enhancements, and replacements.
  • Organizational Skills: Demonstrates the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks to meet leadership schedules.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, as this role requires collaboration with team members and effective interaction with customers.

EDUCATION:
  • High School Diploma


EXPERIENCE:
  • 4+ related work experience required in troubleshooting and maintaining Schneider Electric systems (EBO, Continuum) or a competing system i.e Metasys, Siemens, Alerton, Distech, Tridium/Niagara, Delta
  • Working knowledge with BACnet, LON, and MODBUS protocols.
  • Intermediate ability to use Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of video surveillance and access control systems a plus

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 68,000 - USD 102,000 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
