Full Job Description
The Service Sales Manager will be responsible for managing all service-related sales activities. The Manager will be required to proactively initiate and manage all service contracts from prospect, quote, to close of sale. The manager will be responsible for driving global service sales thereby delivering revenue growth within the service business. The manager must be able to identify and qualify opportunities, build trust and credibility, deliver service offering solutions based on an understanding of the customer’s needs, then deliver in a clear and compelling message to close sales.

Essential duties include but are not limited to:

  • Target new opportunities and follow up on leads within the installed base.
  • Establish need, identify key contacts and decision-makers, provide offerings based on customer needs and estimate budgetary resources available.
  • Conduct remote and onsite prospecting of customers with expiring service coverage.
  • Contact customers for purposes of data clean-up, contact discovery, event enrollment, reminder calls and other key activities
  • Organization and prioritization of sales lead information into CRM.
  • Manage and close sales according to revenue targets as communicated by management.
  • Accurately forecast monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue results.
  • Analyze trends and buying patterns and communicate recommendations appropriately to management and service marketing teams.
  • Work closely with marketing and sales to ensure smooth and timely flow of information.
  • Maintain and increase technical product and application knowledge in order to provide prospective customers with compelling, accurate, and concise information about our products and prices.
  • When necessary, leverage company resources to drive service sale to close.
  • Ensure all service obligations and contract terms resulting from sales won are accurately recorded in CRM and communicated to the field service team
  • Expected travel of up to 25%

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent Life Science sales and/or business experience
  • Minimum 8 years sales experience with a proven track record of success in meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Prior work supporting or servicing high-end Life Science instrumentation expected
  • Demonstrated ability to handle objections and close sales
  • Must have a strong phone presence and interpersonal skills dealing with both internal and external clients, as well as prospects
  • Strong customer service orientation and willingness to prioritize customer needs
  • Prior experience in use of Microsoft Office and CRM applications
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com CRM a plus

$102,000.00-$117,000.00
