Service Manager - Heavy Equipment

Are you a seasoned Service Manager who's ready for a new challenge? Vermeer All Roads in Chesapeake, VA is searching for a customer-focused professional who is ready to make an impact as a Service Manager. This position will manage the service department, control costs, create strong customer relationships and achieve sales/profit objectives. Additionally, the Service Manager will address customer concerns and ensure all service work is performed efficiently and effectively.
Compensation & Schedule
• Salary plus commission - based on experience $100k+ OTE
• Full-time position, Monday-Friday schedule

Responsibilities
• Monitor the service department's performance
• Continually observe and mentor Service Writers to enforce good habits and ensure exceptional customer service
• Communicate and dispatch service work to technicians
• Maintain and build customer relationships
• Work successfully with Service Writers and Technicians within the Service Department
• Perform all other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous shop management experience
• Prior mechanic/technician experience preferred
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Positive attitude with the ability to motivate employees
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently
