Job Description

Service Innovation Engineer 60 - Latham, New York

Drive service innovation for superconducting MRI magnets by leading serviceability improvements, technical investigations, and cross-functional project execution that improve equipment performance and field service outcomes with key focus on productivity and service margins improvements.

Your role:
  • You will lead and contribute to service innovation initiatives for superconducting Magnetic Resonance Imaging magnets, helping improve serviceability, reliability, preventative service delivery, and field support effectiveness.
  • You will work closely with multidisciplinary specialists, field service, engineering, quality, product development, and service operations teams to evaluate concepts, support change projects, and implement practical solutions.
  • You will act as a subject matter expert for Magnetic Resonance Imaging magnet service topics, providing consultative guidance, technical investigation support, and knowledge sharing across projects and peer groups.
  • You will support Modified Launch Design and new product introduction activities, including service requirements, verification and validation planning, test design, and service bill of material considerations.
  • This role offers the opportunity to grow technical leadership, project leadership, quality and regulatory awareness, and cross-functional influencing skills while working full time from Latham, New York, with travel as needed for project or business requirements.


You're the right fit if:
  • You've acquired 5+ years of experience in supporting field service operations or new product development, preferably with MRI magnets; experience as an FSE/MPM related to magnets is highly relevant and preferred
  • Your skills include troubleshooting, service innovation, test design, data analysis and interpretation, feasibility analysis, quality assurance, technical writing, continuous improvement, and knowledge working of tools such as InCenter, ServiceMax, Trackwise(not mandatory)
  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Physics or Biomedical Engineering.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
  • You're a collaborative and trusted technical expert who communicates clearly, builds effective relationships, influences across functions, and brings sound judgment to complex service innovation challenges; experience with Product Development Lifecycle Management, Modified Launch Design projects, Corrective and Preventive Actions, and Magnetic Resonance service innovation is a plus.


How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.

This is an office role

The pay range for this position in (NY) is $93,500 to $112,500

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
