Full Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on leader to build and launch a new Fund Order Services solution for a strategic client and then lead the service in BAU. This role is accountable for the full outcome, not only the project plan. The successful candidate will set direction, make decisions, remove barriers, drive execution across Operations, Product, FRS, Technology, Risk and client stakeholders, and establish a scalable operating model with strong controls and a high degree of automation. As the service matures, the role will lead ongoing delivery, risk management, performance, continuous improvement, and expansion to new clients.

What You Will Own

End-to-End Service Ownership
  • Own the FOF workstream within the UC Regents uplift and remain accountable from current-state discovery through go-live, stabilization, BAU, and future client expansion.
  • Define clear outcomes, priorities, decision rights, milestones, dependencies, and resource needs, then drive the team to delivery.
  • Create concise executive updates that clearly communicate progress, decisions, risks, dependencies, and required actions.
  • Lead through ambiguity, resolve cross-functional issues, escalate early, and ensure commitments translate into completed deliverables.

Operating Model, Automation and Execution
  • Lead deep dives to understand and document the current highly manual model performed outside FOS.
  • Design and obtain alignment on the end-to-end future-state operating model, with automation, scalability, resilience, clear ownership, and effective exception management built in from the start.
  • Ensure business requirements, FRS user stories, process flows, operating procedures, controls, testing, and implementation plans remain aligned and traceable.
  • Make practical design decisions that balance client outcomes, operational risk, technology feasibility, control strength, and speed to market.

Risk, Governance and Control Accountability
  • Own completion of NBPRA requirements, approval conditions, post-implementation review activities, and internal IT and design approvals, including ISRMP, Architecture Review Board, and TPRM where applicable.
  • Challenge the future-state design to identify operational, technology, data, vendor, and transition risks and ensure effective mitigants are implemented before launch.
  • Oversee creation of the control framework, SOPs, Business Process Maps, Archer controls, Task Manager checklists, contingency plans, and FTTOP compliance.

Launch and BAU Leadership
  • Direct model office, production parallel, end-to-end readiness, implementation, and go-live decision making.
  • Lead production stabilization and establish BAU governance, service monitoring, escalation, issue management, and continuous improvement routines.
  • Oversee delivery in a highly automated environment, with focus on service outcomes, exceptions, control performance, technology health, and client experience rather than manual task supervision.
  • Build a repeatable model that can be extended efficiently to new clients and additional capabilities.

What Success Looks Like
  • The service launches with a clearly defined operating model, accountable owners, tested technology, effective controls, and practical contingency plans.
  • Key risks and issues are surfaced early, decisions are made quickly, and cross-functional teams execute against clear commitments.
  • BAU delivery is stable, measurable, controlled, and positioned for continued automation and client expansion.

Required Experience and Capabilities
  • Significant experience in fund operations, with strong preference for Fund Order Services, Transfer Agency, cash allocation, or related transaction-processing services.
  • Demonstrated success building or materially transforming an operating service and carrying accountability into live production and BAU.
  • Strong knowledge of operational risk, control design, technology-enabled operations, testing, implementation, and production support.
  • Ability to lead senior and cross-functional stakeholders while remaining close enough to the detail to challenge assumptions and unblock execution.
  • Excellent judgment, ownership, written communication, and ability to deliver in a fast-moving environment with evolving requirements.
