SALARY: $79,000-$87,000, bonus eligible
SHIFT: Rotating shift on a 28 day schedule which will include weekend work and mandatory overtime for special events. Flexibility to work overtime as needed on short notice is required.
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Sergeant, Plant Protection (Security Supervisor) oversees daily campus security operations, ensuring a safe and secure environment through active monitoring and consistent enforcement of campus policies and procedures. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, and collaborates effectively with cross-functional departments to address safety concerns, support campus operations, and enhance the overall campus experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Scheduling and maintaining the security officer work schedule.
Monitor daily performance of security team.
Evaluate security officer daily performance.
Enforcement of security policies.
Preparation and review of security SOPs.
Reporting any security, safety, or maintenance deficiencies to the appropriate department.
Work with third party security vendors on annual training.
Monitor access control to Saint Louis campus
Liaison with local, state and Federal law enforcement agencies.
Plan security staffing for all events.
Cross functional partnership with People/legal/supply and logistic teams.
Writing and approving detailed incident reports.
Conducting daily, weekly and monthly testing of campus wide communication equipment.
Responding to and serving as incident command to all security related incidents.
Enforce departmental policies and procedures among security officers.
Participation in Brewery led Emergency Response team-HAZWOPR.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred Education and Experience:
Associates degree from an accredited college or university
5 years supervisory experience for a POST certified law enforcement agency
Ability to gain armed security officer license with St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department/ Saint Louis County PD
Excellent interpersonal skills and experience communicating with others in a public safety environment
Proficiency using standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Knowledge of emergency management and incident command principles
Strong organizational skills
Physically capable of responding quickly and appropriately to emergencies
CPR/AED training-Red Cross Certified
