DescriptionNorthrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an
Technical Services Principal Engineer (T03 level). This position is located in
Roy, Utah and supports the Sentinel program.
Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Demonstrates comprehensive expertise in analyzing and evaluating knowledge and skill gaps to identify training requirements and develop appropriate learning solutions
- Design and develop training products for multiple modalities, including online, in-person, hybrid, as well as synchronous and asynchronous formats
- Develop a comprehensive suite of training materials-including instructor-led sessions, microlearning modules, interactive online courses, and on-the-job qualification/certification programs-with minimal supervision
- Curriculum design experience utilizing current SCORM standards Technical and creative writing; developing technical training CDRLs
- Experience with digital instructional design software (e.g., Camtasia, Storyline, Adobe Captivate/Creative Suite)
- Stay at the forefront of training research, continuously monitoring emerging learning theories, software tools, and industry standards and translating insights into strategic enhancements
- May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop training courseware
Basic Qualifications:- Bachelors of Science in Instructional Systems Design, Instructional Technology, Human Performance, Training and Learning Development, Psychology, Marketing, orrelated field, with 5 Years of related experience with a Bachelors of Science; 3 Years with a Masters degree; 1 Year with PhD
- Must have U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain U.S. DoD Secret Level clearance
- Experience designing and developing learning materials for technical disciplines
- Experience developing technology-based learning products
- Experience creating formative and summative evaluations for technical disciplines
- Experience in conducting training evaluations in accordance with Kirkpatrick 4 levels of evaluation and Phillips 5 levels of evaluation
- Experience working in ADDIE and other training development models for technical disciplines
- Experience applying adult learning theories and process-driven instructional design principles
- Ability to travel 10% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of human performance processes to breakdown knowledge and skill gaps to identify appropriate learning solutions
- Multimedia design experience (audio/video editing, 2D/3D design, animation, software simulation, etc.)
- Experience using multiple instructional development software tools
- Experience executing and delivering training system products on large DoD military program
- Experience leading a team of junior training system employees

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
