This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Basic Qualifications:
This role can be filled at the Structural Analyst (T02) or Principal Structural Analyst (T03) level.
Structural Analyst: 2 years of relevant experience with Bachelors in Science; 1 year with Masters or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree
Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance
Knowledge and/or experience with structural analysis
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent disciplines (e.g. systems engineering, aerodynamics, stress analysis, design, test) in a highly integrated team environment
Experience in Finite Element Analysis with Nastran (or equivalent)
Experience in performing Bolted Joint Analyses per NASA STD 5020
Experience running static and dynamic structural problems using analytical methods (hand calculations, in-house tools, and 3rd party commercial analytical tools)
Principal Structural Analyst: 5 years of relevant experience with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree
Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance
Knowledge and/or experience with structural analysis
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent disciplines (e.g. systems engineering, aerodynamics, stress analysis, design, test) in a highly integrated team environment
Experience in Finite Element Analysis with Nastran (or equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with a Finite Element Analysis software (ABAQUS, FEMAP, or ANSYS)
Experience with Bolted Joint Analysis using NASA STD 5020
Experience with structural analysis of spacecraft, aircraft, or missiles
Exposure to structural test applications
Experience with seismic analysis (ASCE 7)
Exposure to missiles program requirements & with propulsion
Navigate through NX 3D models and CPLM
TeamCenter CPLM experience
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent disciplines (e.g. systems engineering, aerodynamics, stress analysis, design, test) in a highly integrated team environment
Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $163,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
