RELOCATION ASSISTANCE: Relocation assistance may be available CLEARANCE REQUIRED FOR START: Yes CLEARANCE TYPE: Secret TRAVEL: Yes, 10% of the Time Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Project Change Engineer to join the Sentinel Systems Engineering team located in Roy, UT.  Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure.  What You'll Get To Do: - Oversee the development, request, and implementation of changes to the Program and technical baseline with a focus on ensuring changes are well understood, documented, and executed through the Program approved Change Boards. The Project Change Engineers bring a “cradle to grave” solution for Program changes. - Develop change request packages and represent the package through the change board process - Ensure change request package meets quality standards and is board ready - Coordinate comment follow-up, resolution, and approvals - Coordinate and provide input into impact assessments - Coordinate resolution and closeout of board action items - Interface with Configuration Management when submitting change requests and finalize change requests after board approval - Ensure approved change requests are implemented prior to change request closure - Follow through to ensure change requests are closed timely Basic Qualifications: - 8 Years with Bachelors in Science; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD - Must be a U.S. citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope (< 6 yrs), with an ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business need. - Must have the ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business need. - 3 years of experience in writing, managing, and tracking intricate requirements using tools such as DOORs, Jama, or Polarion, as well as defining verification plans and test procedures, and executing system-level verification activities to ensure hardware and software accountability. - 5 years of experience demonstrating System Engineering principles / Model Based Engineering (MBSE) methodology, process, knowledge, practice, and theories - 5 years of experience and expertise in Engineering Change Proposal processes, design structure, and Configuration Item (CI) traceability within Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, including the serialization of hardware. - 5 years of relevant years of experience in a configuration & data management (CMDM) role with knowledge of best practices, tools, procedures to include but not limited to JIRA, Confluence, DOORs, Cameo, CPLM, SAP, and MES - 5 years of experience in project management; showcasing a solid understanding of project management principles, effective communication abilities, adaptability, and the capacity to lead, mentor, develop, and assign tasks among team members. Preferred Qualifications - Current DoD Top Secret clearance - 5 years as a Data Scientist with experience building, scaling, and deploying production-grade machine learning models and predictive analytics pipelines - Configuration and Data Management Certification dated within the last 3 years - Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) equivalent or higher dated within the last 3 years - Certified Systems Engineering Professional certificate equivalent or higher dated within the last 3 years10 years of experience and knowledge with Defense/Aerospace engineering, maintenance and modification records - 10 years of proven Experience with Process Improvement - 10 years of experience with AGILE framework program execution - 10 years of experience of direct Configuration and Data Management domain knowledge. - 10 years of experience writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and/or Configuration Management Plans (CMP) that align with EIA Standard 649-1, MIL-HDBK-61B, ASME Y14, SAE GEIA-859, GEIA-HB-649, or best industry practices - 10 years of experience managing and supporting software CM - 10 years of experience and knowledge of Northrop Grumman Program Lifecycle and Milestone support - 10 years of experience and knowledge of Northrop Grumman and Industry Configuration Management Standards, Software CM, Tools, Process, and Software to include, but not limited to, SAP, CPLM, MES, Cameo, DOORS, JIRA, and Confluence - 10 years of proven Experience with Baseline Management and Effectivity logic within a PLM system As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including: - Medical, Dental & Vision coverage - 401k - Educational Assistance - Life Insurance - Employee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions - Paid Time Off - Health & Wellness Resources - Employee Discounts This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. ​This position may offer relocation assistance. #SentinelSystems Primary Level Salary Range: $111,700.00 - $167,500.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
