What You'll Get To Do:

As the Manager, Launch Silo Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) you will own the end to end delivery of the Launch Silo Integrated Product Team (IPT). You will lead four tightly coupled disciplines:

Traditional Systems Engineering: Requirements capture, architecture development, interface requirements definition

Integration: Interface Control Models, installation drawings, collector models, EBOM ownership

Model Simulation & Analysis: Multi physics simulation, trade studies, design validation analysis

Test & Verification: Test planning, execution, data analysis, readiness reporting

You will be the strategic bridge between senior leadership, the customer, and the multi disciplinary engineering groups that design, build, and certify the launch silo.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Program Leadership
• Define and communicate a clear technical vision for the Launch Silo IPT, aligning all SEIT functions to cost, schedule, and performance targets.
• Partner with program managers, finance, and acquisition teams to develop Earned Value Management (EVM) baselines and monitor variance.
• Conduct risk based assessments; lead mitigation and opportunity exploitation across the SEIT spectrum.

Cross Functional Team Management
• Directly manage functional leads for Requirements, Architecture, Interface Control, Simulation, and Test.
• Champion model based engineering (MBE) practices-maintain a live Digital Twin of the launch silo and ensure traceability from requirement to test.
• Oversee EBOM/IBOM integrity, change control, and configuration management in collaboration with the Manufacturing Engineering community.

Technical Execution
• Ensure rigorous requirements flow down, verification, and validation (V&V) across all sub systems.
• Approve Interface Control Models and installation drawings; resolve interface conflicts with external IPTs and the customer.
• Guide the Simulation & Analysis team in developing high fidelity models for structural, thermal, and fluid dynamics studies.
• Supervise test planning, hardware in the loop (HIL) simulations, and on site launch silo qualification tests.

Stakeholder Communication
• Prepare and deliver concise, data driven briefings for senior leadership, program executives, key subcontractor partners, and DoD customers.
• Foster customer intimacy; act as the primary technical liaison for all launch silo related inquiries and status reports.
• Publish regular performance dashboards (schedule, cost, technical health) and participate in senior level program reviews.

People Development
• Build a high performing, inclusive SEIT culture; mentor engineers, promote career growth, and drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct talent gap analyses, recruit critical skill sets, and lead workforce planning activities.
