Responsibilities

Full Job Description
Position Description:

We9re looking for a Sr iOS Engineer who9s excited to make an impact. In this role, you will be responsible for building and evolving our native iOS application used by field service technicians on the job. You9ll work on a mature, modular Swift codebase - contributing to offline-first sync architecture, incremental SwiftUI adoption, and platform features that directly impact how our customers work in the field. You9ll collaborate closely with Android, Backend, API, and Web teams, and play an active role in shaping engineering practices on the mobile team.

Key Responsibilities and Activities:
Feature Development & Architecture
  • Design, build, and maintain features for the ServiceTrade iOS application using Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI
  • Contribute to and help evolve our MVVM architecture
  • Work within our modular SPM-based codebase; understand and respect module boundaries
  • Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making
  • Collaborate with the Mobile Architect on platform direction and standards
Offline-First & Data Layer
  • Build and maintain features that work reliably across varying network conditions, including offline scenarios
  • Work with Core Data and our sync engine to ensure data consistency and reliability
  • Contribute to conflict resolution and data synchronization strategies
Code Quality & Engineering Practices
  • Write well-tested code; contribute to unit and integration test coverage using XCTest
  • Participate in code reviews; provide and receive feedback constructively
  • Adopt and champion AI-assisted development tools and agentic workflows to improve delivery speed and quality
  • Follow and help refine coding standards across the iOS team
Performance & Observability
  • Monitor app health via Crashlytics, Kibana, and Pendo; investigate and resolve issues proactively
  • Profile and optimize app performance across supported iOS versions and devices
  • Contribute to feature flag implementation and safe rollout practices using Firebase Remote Config
Collaboration
  • Work closely with Product, Design, Backend, API, and Web teams to deliver features end-to-end
  • Collaborate with QA on end-to-end test coverage and release readiness
  • Communicate technical trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Knowledge and Skills:

Required:
  • 5+ years of professional iOS development experience
  • Strong proficiency in Swift; solid understanding of UIKit with working knowledge of SwiftUI
  • Experience with MVVM or similar architecture patterns in production iOS applications
  • Experience with Core Data or similar local persistence solutions
  • Proficiency with async programming patterns - Combine, Swift concurrency (async/await), or equivalent
  • Experience with REST API integration and offline-first or sync-heavy mobile applications
  • Solid understanding of iOS memory management, performance profiling, and debugging tools
  • Experience with unit and integration testing on iOS
  • Proven experience with AI-assisted development tools; pragmatic about their strengths and limitations
  • Demonstrated ability to help teammates adopt AI tooling where it genuinely improves output and quality
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and App Store release processes
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills; comfortable working across teams

Preferred:
  • Experience building form-based applications and data-collection utilities from a mobile app perspective
  • Experience with Swift Package Manager (SPM) and modular iOS architecture
  • Familiarity with Firebase ecosystem including Crashlytics, Analytics, and Remote Config
  • Experience with Pendo or similar product analytics platforms
  • Familiarity with Fastlane and GitHub Actions for iOS build automation
  • Experience with feature flag systems and remote configuration
  • Experience integrating mobile payment solutions such as Stripe or equivalent
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude or Cursor
  • Experience with Quick and Nimble or similar BDD testing frameworks
  • Prior experience at a SaaS or field service software company
  • Familiarity with cross-platform frameworks such as .NET MAUI or Flutter
