As part of UT Dell Medical School transformation into a world-class academic health enterprise, we are launching an Enterprise Human Capital Management (HCM) transformation centered on Workday, beginning in Fall 2026. To support this approximately 18-month implementation, we are recruiting both permanent and project-based HR and technology professionals who will help design, implement, and optimize Workday. This is a unique opportunity to build the foundational HR technology platform that will support the future University of Texas Dell Medical Center and the broader academic health enterprise.

The Senior Workday Analyst provides advanced application configuration, optimization, and escalated support to ensure reliability, security, and compliance across enterprise platforms within the healthcare organization. This role supports strategic initiatives that enhance application performance and advance enterprise goals through best practices and process improvements.

Purpose

The Senior Workday Analyst provides advanced application configuration, optimization, and escalated support to ensure reliability, security, and compliance across enterprise platforms within the healthcare organization. Reporting to the Enterprise Application Manager or another IT leader, this role manages complex troubleshooting, participates in major upgrade projects, mentors analysts, and collaborates with stakeholders to align technology solutions with organizational objectives.

The Senior Workday Analyst contributes to strategic initiatives that enhance application performance and supports enterprise goals through best practices and process improvements.

Responsibilities

Advanced Application Support and Troubleshooting
  • Provide senior-level support for complex application issues and escalations.
  • Perform root cause analysis and develop sustainable solutions for recurring problems.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve critical issues and ensure high availability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure solutions meet organizational objectives.


System Configuration and Optimization
  • Implement advanced configurations and integrations to support business workflows.
  • Contribute to application roadmapping and prioritization of enhancements to align with organizational strategy.
  • Participate in major upgrade projects by managing configuration and validation tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with security and organizational standards during all changes.
  • Partner with business units to design and refine processes and workflows that improve efficiency and user experience.


Project Participation and Testing
  • Lead medium- to large-scale projects or workstreams within large, complex initiatives.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in application support, configuration, or systems analysis.
  • Minimum of two years of experience providing technical support and stakeholder engagement for healthcare finance and revenue cycle systems.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of six years of experience in healthcare application support, including project leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience with enterprise-level application platforms and integrations.
  • Demonstrated project leadership responsibilities and participation in multi-stakeholder initiatives.

  • ITIL Foundation Certification.

Salary Range

$100,439+ depending on qualifications
