We're a well-regarded wealth management firm in the Greater New Orleans area looking for a Senior Wealth Strategist to anchor our planning and investment process. You'll work across portfolio management, comprehensive financial planning, and advisor support. The role has real scope, and we're looking for someone who's ready for it.
What You'll DoThis role sits across three areas. There's no single lane.
Portfolio and Investment Work- Implement portfolio trades and monitor holdings against the firm's investment philosophy
- Research investment managers, markets, and economic developments; bring findings forward in a clear, usable format
- Evaluate opportunities and contribute portfolio recommendations
- Participate in investment discussions and serve as an active contributor
Financial Planning- Build thorough financial plans for clients covering retirement, tax, estate, business succession, insurance, and wealth transfer
- Research advanced planning strategies and maintain a working library of approaches the team can draw from
- Update recommendations as clients' lives and goals evolve over time
Advisor and Client Support- Serve as the firm's go-to resource when advisors need backup on complex cases
- Review client statements, identify issues, and translate findings into clear next steps
- Prepare for client meetings and take ownership of assigned client relationships
- Help produce market commentary, client-facing educational content, and firm communications
RequirementsWhat We're Looking ForRequired- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial data and models
- Background in finance, banking, investment research, corporate finance, consulting, risk management, or a comparable field
Strongly Preferred- MBA or advanced graduate degree
- CFA, CFP, or CPA, or active progress toward one of these credentials
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and standard financial planning software
Nice to Have- Prior experience inside a wealth management or financial advisory firm
- Additional professional designations or ongoing continuing education
