About the Position

We are conducting a confidential search for an accomplished Senior Vice President of Multifamily Construction to lead one of the company's fastest-growing business units in Tampa, FL. This executive will be responsible for directing all aspects of multifamily construction operations, overseeing multiple regional teams, and developing the operational infrastructure needed to support continued geographic expansion.

Reporting directly to executive leadership, the SVP will provide strategic oversight while maintaining accountability for operational performance, financial results, client satisfaction, and leadership development. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the future of the organization by mentoring operational leaders, improving execution across multiple offices, and implementing scalable systems that drive consistency and profitability.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience leading large multifamily construction organizations, managing full P&L responsibility, and overseeing multiple concurrent projects and regional operations.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead and grow multifamily construction operations across several Southeast markets.
  • Oversee full operational and financial performance, including P&L accountability.
  • Develop and mentor Regional Managers, Operations Managers, Project Executives, and other senior leaders.
  • Establish scalable operational processes that support continued company growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, owners, and strategic clients.
  • Drive operational excellence through consistent project execution, safety, quality, and financial performance.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on business planning, market expansion, and long-term growth initiatives.
  • Ensure successful delivery of ground-up multifamily and mixed-use developments from preconstruction through closeout.

Requirements
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in multifamily construction.
  • Proven executive leadership experience overseeing large regional or multi-state construction operations.
  • Demonstrated success with full P&L responsibility for significant construction business units.
  • Extensive background leading ground-up multifamily and mixed-use developments ranging from approximately $10 million to $50 million.
  • Experience managing multiple offices, business units, or geographic regions.
  • Strong ability to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing operational leadership teams.
  • Exceptional client relationship and business development skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to build systems, improve processes, and scale operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred but not required.
