SVP, Earned Media (Technology), San Francisco
The Weber Shandwick team is searching for a Senior Vice President, Earned Media to join our West Technology practice. This leader will be responsible for setting and executing a modern integrated media strategy for key technology clients, guiding them through a rapidly evolving landscape where news, influence, and reputation are shaped by a complex and dynamic media environment.
The ideal candidate is a strategic counselor who understands that today's storytelling requires a sophisticated, integrated approach that extends beyond traditional media relations to encompass social media, influencer engagement, owned content, AI-powered search, and targeted paid amplification. This leader should also have expertise in AI, computing, and enterprise technology and the ability to distill complex concepts into clear and compelling narratives at the intersection of business, technology and culture.
The successful candidate will possess a robust network of media relationships, a deep understanding of the integrated communications landscape, and a proven track record of developing influential points of view, strategic solutions and thought leadership that help clients navigate complexity and break through.
Key responsibilities include counseling clients, leading integrated strategies for new business pitches, and developing the next generation of earned media talent by fostering a culture of curiosity, inclusivity, and high performance.

Basic Qualifications
10+ years of experience. Agency experience preferred.
Experience leading projects from start to finish, working with integrated teams across various disciplines.
Proven track record of success in the technology sector, including corporate and brand reputation management, executive visibility, crisis communications, and proactive media relations.

160,000-230,000
Omnicom's policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom's corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
