Senior Vice President, Counsel - Asset Servicing

We9re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Counsel - Asset Servicing to join our Asset Servicing Legal team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA.

In this role, you9ll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Function as a trusted internal resource capable of using knowledge of BNY Mellon9s businesses, products, services and/or strategies to articulate and advance legal positions.
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle a broad portfolio of legal issues.
  • Work collaboratively, seeking guidance and input from colleagues throughout the organization to ensure solutions align to global legal strategies.
  • Partner with colleagues who also serve in an advisory or oversight capacity, such as those in Risk, Audit, Compliance, etc.
  • Manage outside counsel, reviewing work for appropriateness, quality and alignment to expectations.
  • Develop a broad understanding of ASD products and services.

To be successful in this role, we9re seeking the following:
  • Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction in which the role is based.
  • 3 years minimum of professional experience as an admitted attorney.
  • Prior corporate legal experience within the asset management and/or financial services industry or comparable law firm experience preferred.
  • Transactional experience and contract drafting and negotiation strongly desired.
  • Experience working with technology, software, digital assets, blockchain, data and analytics legal issues, a strong plus.

Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award.
