This leader integrates sales, marketing, category strategy, pricing, customer insights, and commercialization into a clear multi-year growth agenda across priority regions, markets, customers, channels, and applications, with ownership for revenue, margin, market share, and P&L performance. As a member of the Saputo Ingredients leadership team, the SVP partners across regions and with R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, and Quality to translate global and local market opportunities into differentiated ingredient solutions, disciplined investment choices, and reliable execution. The role builds strategic relationships with multinational and regional customers and partners, identifies opportunities to leverage Saputo’s global scale and capabilities, expands the business into attractive markets and applications, and develops a connected, high-performing commercial organization with strong accountability for results.

How You Will Make Contributions That Matter

  • Define and execute a multi-year global commercial strategy that converts enterprise and divisional priorities into clear choices on regions, markets, customers, channels, product platforms, and investment while balancing global consistency with local market needs.
  • Own commercial P&L delivery, including revenue, volume, product mix, gross margin, operating expense, and working-capital outcomes; establish targets, operating rhythms, and corrective actions.
  • Lead the sales and business development agenda across multinational and regional strategic accounts, distributors, geographies, and applications; strengthen executive relationships, retention, share of wallet, and the qualified opportunity pipeline while coordinating customer strategies across markets.
  • Establish value-based pricing, contracting, and margin-management disciplines informed by customer economics, competitive intelligence, input-cost dynamics, supply availability, and risk.
  • Build robust global and regional market, customer, category, and competitor insights; monitor economic, geopolitical, regulatory, trade, currency, and commodity dynamics; and segment markets to identify attractive growth spaces, unmet needs, and portfolio priorities.
  • Partner with R&D and technical teams to shape the innovation portfolio and lead commercialization from concept through launch, including business cases, stage-gate decisions, customer validation, and post-launch performance.
  • Align global and regional demand forecasts and commercial commitments with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, and Finance to improve service, network and capacity utilization, inventory health, profitable product allocation, and supply resilience across markets.
  • Develop differentiated positioning, thought leadership, technical selling tools, digital capabilities, and industry engagement that strengthen Saputo Ingredients’ market presence and customer relevance.
  • Create a transparent performance-management system with KPIs for growth, margin, price realization, pipeline conversion, forecast accuracy, customer retention, innovation vitality, and commercial productivity.
  • Lead annual planning, forecasting, and the commercial operating budget; provide fact-based recommendations and clear reporting to divisional and enterprise leadership.
  • Partner with commercial and functional leaders across Saputo’s global network to share market intelligence and best practices, coordinate multinational customer opportunities, leverage enterprise capabilities, and establish governance that enables timely cross-regional decisions.
  • Build, coach, and succession-plan a high-performing commercial team; clarify decision rights, elevate strategic and technical selling capabilities, and foster an inclusive, accountable culture.
  • Represent Saputo with key customers, industry associations, strategic partners, and at relevant trade events while ensuring commercial practices meet legal, regulatory, food-safety, and ethical standards.

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, food science, economics, or a related discipline; an MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ownership of a sizable P&L with a record of delivering profitable revenue growth, margin expansion, disciplined investment, and reliable forecasts.
  • Deep knowledge of the ingredients value chain, including B2B customer needs, product applications, manufacturing and supply considerations, pricing dynamics, and relevant market or commodity risks.
  • Proven success developing and executing commercial strategies across customer segments, channels, geographies, and product portfolios, including expansion into new markets or applications.
  • Experience leading strategic account management, complex negotiations, value-based pricing, contracting, customer retention, and new-business pipelines.
