Job Summary
The Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer is responsible for leading the development and
execution of a comprehensive, enterprise, global marketing strategy to steward the Cleveland Clinic
brand.

The position is responsible for improving awareness of and preference for Cleveland Clinic by providing
information in multiple forms that educates the public about clinical care and research, motivates
people to seek out Cleveland Clinic services, inspires physicians to refer patients who need our
specialized care, and encourages community and philanthropic support for our mission.

This includes marketing support for all institutes, clinical programs, markets, sub-markets and hospitals,
outpatient locations, national, international locations, and emerging markets.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

The CMO will oversee all marketing division functions and caregivers, including:
  • Enterprise Marketing Account Services - creates and executes customized, strategic, traditional and digital marketing plans through database marketing, targeted mail and email programs, qualitative and quantitative market research
  • Enterprise Creative Services + Emerging Market Technology - creative art services through branded multimedia content and products, including print production and traffic, creative services, media production, and marketing content
  • Enterprise Digital Marketing - content creation and marketing technologies that improve online access for patients, including editorial, content growth, product and operations, and AI initiatives
  • Enterprise Advertising, Analytics + Partnerships - develop distinct, persuasive campaigns through awareness advertising to maintain consumer recognition and increase preference, patient acquisition advertising for key service lines, data analytics, predictive modeling, and sports partnerships
  • Florida Market: Marketing + International Business Development - enhancing brand recognition, fostering community relationships, driving digital engagement, and ensuring effective internal and external communications - across the Florida region
  • Matrix Marketing Management of London, Abu Dhabi, Toronto, Las Vegas, and emerging markets
  • Marketing Administration - operations of division, including strategy, compliance, finance, engagement, communication, and workforce management
  • Leading and directing the work of other employees and personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination


The CMO will drive objectives and key results, including:
  • Growing local volume, service line preference, and reputation
  • Building national and global brand awareness
  • Increase lead generation and grow website sessions
  • Become the digital leader in healthcare
  • Effectively communicating enterprise priorities to caregivers and key stakeholders
  • Supporting strategic initiatives, philanthropy, and community initiatives


Education:
  • Required: Bachelor's degree
  • Required: Master's degree in marketing, business administration, healthcare management, or related field


Work Experience:
  • At least 15 years of progressive executive-level leadership experience required
