Senior VDC Designer who brings both strong production capabilities and leadership presence. This role is ideal for someone who is highly proficient in Revit-based MEP modeling coordination and is ready to take ownership of complex projects while mentoring others.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be actively involved in modeling and production while also leading coordination workflows, driving clash detection efforts, and supporting the development of junior team members.
Responsibilities:- Utilize Autodesk Revit to produce and oversee 3D models and shop drawings for MEP systems
- Lead coordination efforts across projects, including clash detection workflows and resolution
- Facilitate and lead coordination/clash meetings with internal teams, contractors, and clients
- Translate MEP design drawings into constructible, field-ready models
- Mentor and support junior VDC designers, providing guidance on modeling standards and workflows
- Identify and escalate RFIs, helping drive resolution across stakeholders
- Ensure deliverables are accurate, complete, and aligned with project requirements and deadlines
- Partner with external design teams, contractors, and clients to resolve complex coordination challenges
- Maintain awareness of client expectations and construction workflows to improve model quality and usability
Qualifications:- 7+ years of experience in VDC, BIM, or related modeling roles
- Advanced, hands-on Revit experience (daily production required)
- Strong experience with Navisworks for clash detection and coordination
- Proven experience leading coordination efforts and resolving multi-discipline conflicts
- Experience working in collaborative environments with multiple linked models
- Ability to read and interpret MEP design drawings and apply design intent
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Strong communication skills, including experience interacting with external partners and clients
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience working on mission critical projects (data centers preferred)
- Strong electrical background
- Autodesk Revit certification (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional: Revit) preferred
- Background in consulting engineering or design environments
Compensation- $80,000 - $110,000 / year
- Depending on experience, education, skills, and/or location
